MODERN MATERIEL is proud to offer our mil-spec+ upper receivers to those looking for a high quality, beautifully finished upper receiver with which to build a dream rifle.  Experience gained from a decade of manufacturing the PATROL rifle was incorporated into this stripped upper and will ensure satisfaction.

The process:

• These upper were born (forged) in Weyers Cave, VA by Cerro Fabricated Products using extruded ingots of aerospace standardized 7075-T6 aluminum.
• They are CNC machined by MM to our “mil-spec+” standards, tumbled and hand deburred by our dedicated team.
• The receiver is prepared using a proprietary blast/etch process and then hardcoat anodized to mil-spec Type III specifications.

The results:

• Unmatched aesthetics and flawless surface finish.
• 1913 Picatinny continuous top rail is a perfect match to the MODERN MATERIEL PATROL & SPORT handguards.
• Accepts all correctly made mil-spec lower receivers.  (usually with less wiggle)
• Works with standard AR15 components.  No propriety parts required.
• Weighs 6.6 oz with forward assist
• Weighs 6.3 oz without forward assist
